The Challenge

Where Al Meezan Investments Started

As Pakistan's largest Shariah-compliant asset management company, Al Meezan's website had to work for two very different audiences at once: experienced investors who wanted fast access to fund data and pricing, and first-time investors for whom the entire idea of investing felt intimidating. The site needed to represent a wide range of mutual funds, savings plans, and investment products, while still making the entry point feel simple rather than overwhelming.

The Solution

What We Built

  • Ran structured discovery workshops with stakeholders across six-plus departments — Customer Services, Marketing, IT, Product Development, Compliance, Risk Management, and the Company Secretariat — since they understood the business and its funds better than anyone
  • Translated that stakeholder input into an information architecture and content structure covering Al Meezan's full range of mutual funds, savings plans, and investment products
  • Designed goal-based investing journeys — invest by goal, by time horizon, or by risk appetite — so new investors could find the right starting point without needing prior investing knowledge
  • Integrated live fund pricing via API on the fund prices page, and API-driven financial calculators (tax savings, retirement planning, investment savings, risk profiling) to help visitors evaluate their options directly on the site
  • Moved from discovery straight into high-fidelity wireframes, refined with every department's input, before converting the finalized wireframes into the final design
  • Delivered the entire site bilingually in English and Urdu, so both audiences get the same guided experience in their preferred language
  • Built a full custom backend behind the site, giving the Al Meezan team a CMS they could use to manage content, pages, and updates themselves without relying on developers
The Results

Impact

Because every department that touched the business — from Compliance to Marketing to Product Development — had a hand in shaping the site, the final product reflected how Al Meezan actually operates, not just how it looks from the outside. The result is a site that serves existing investors efficiently while giving first-time investors a guided, low-intimidation way in.
